Question 159

What is the ruling on perfumes that contain a percentage of alcohol?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

If the alcohol was manufactured for an industrial benefit rather than for intoxication, it is considered pure, and there is no problem using it in perfume, ointment, or disinfection.
