Question 143
If impurity touches one object and makes it impure, and that object then touches a second object, does the second object also become impure? What if the second then touches a third, and so on?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
An object that has become impure is itself impure, but it does not make another object impure merely by contact unless its characteristics have been changed by the characteristics of the actual impurity, or the actual substance of the impurity or one of its characteristics is discernible in or on it.
