Question 129
A nursing mother has many children and cannot be sure that her clothing is free from impurity such as urine or feces. What is the ruling on her prayer and the purity of her clothing?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
An impure garment must be purified before praying in it. If she does not know whether her garment has become impure, she treats it as pure. In the case of the urine of a male infant, pouring water over the garment is sufficient to purify it. If she has only one garment, she prays in it during the day and purifies it from the infant's urine at night.
