Question 9
Pools of water commonly form near homes in some areas when rain falls. If impurity comes into contact with them, what is the ruling?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
While rain is falling, it is purifying, and nothing in these pools becomes impure except what has had its characteristics changed by the impurity. After the rain stops, these pools contain either a large or a small quantity of water, and their impurity is judged according to their condition, as I explained in al-Shara'i.
