Question 155
A practice has spread in which people circumvent internet-center servers so that a user can connect without paying the center owner a subscription fee. Software is used to enter the network through the address of one of the center's actual subscribers. What is the ruling on someone who does this and obtains a free connection, given that most of these centers are privately owned rather than governmental?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
It is not permissible, unless the owner of the property shows hostility toward the Imams and the Mahdis; in that case, according to the source ruling, his property is not treated as inviolable.
