Question 179
In Western countries, employers sometimes give employees alcohol as a holiday gift. Should we accept it and throw it away, or may we exchange the alcohol with another employee for a different gift?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
You should refuse to accept such a gift and let them know that you are Muslim and do not drink alcohol, so that when they decide to give you a gift they give you something appropriate.
