Question 79

May I participate in, train in, or watch combat sports such as boxing, various martial arts, karate and the like? What is the ruling on sports that involve striking the opponent with the hands or feet?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

It is permissible if they involve wearing protective equipment against injury or serious harm.
