Question 83
In accordance with Imam Ahmad al-Hassan's recommendation, we established a Bayt al-Mal in our area to serve and financially assist the believing men and women who follow the true Yamani call. May we spend the khums and other religious dues we collect on establishing a center and Husayniyya for the believers in the area, and also on helping needy families? We greatly need such a center for gathering, congregational prayers and religious lessons, while the believers currently have limited financial ability to purchase land and construct it.
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
It is permissible. I ask God to bless you and make your affairs easy in what pleases Him.
