A fourteen-year-old boy killed another boy of the same age by stabbing him with a knife during a fight. Must blood money for intentional killing be paid, how much may the victim's family demand, and may the victim's guardian waive the claim if payment of blood money or a tribal settlement is made conditional on such a waiver?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

Blood money is paid, and the matter of waiving the claim belongs to the victim's legal guardian.
