Question 161
At the College of Fine Arts, engineering projects are required from us during the academic year. There are offices outside the college that complete such projects for payment, and some students hire these offices. Some understand how to develop and execute the idea but cannot do the work because of lack of time or illness; others do not know how to develop or execute it and submit the office's work to the college under the student's own name, although the college does not permit this. What is the ruling in both cases? Is outside assistance on these projects permissible if it is unpaid?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
It is not permissible.
