As is well known, if a fasting person dives into the sea merely to pass the time, for example, the fast becomes invalid. Why does the fast become invalid if not even a drop of water enters the person's mouth? What is the scientific reason that invalidates the fast?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
A religious ruling is an act of worship prescribed as a test for creation, and it is not necessary that it have a reason beyond this. May God grant you success and make your steps firm.
