Question 817

Peace be upon you, my master and guardian. My master, will I one day be honored to see you? Why did one of the supporters see me as though I had left the Call, although I adhere to it and have sacrificed everything for it? Sender: Ali - Baghdad, Iraq

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds, and may Allah send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them peace. Regarding your request to see Ahmed Alhasan, I ask Allah from His bounty to facilitate for us a safe place and a number of believers in the truth through whom protection from Allah’s enemies and the repelling of Iblis and his soldiers dominating this earth may be realized, so that we can lead believing men and women in prayer, meet them, explain the truth to the people, and publicly expose the false doctrines of the invalidators among the scholars of misguidance-just as Allah facilitated Yathrib and the supporters for the Messenger Muhammad (may Allah send prayers upon him and his family). Before his migration to Yathrib, Medina, Muhammad spent years without safety and was compelled to hide from the disbelievers of Quraysh in the mountain pass and cave, and he migrated to al-Taʾif; but its people too wanted to kill him, so he fled from them. The Muslims migrated to Abyssinia, where, by Allah’s favor upon him, the Negus granted them safety. Thus it continued until Allah willed empowerment and victory for His Messenger and Islam when the Aws and Khazraj supported the Messenger of Allah, opened their city to him, and sheltered him there, safe and reassured, calling the people to the religion of truth. His proof became manifest to everyone, the truth appeared, and falsehood was exposed. This is Allah’s practice. This world is the abode of affliction and trial; reward corresponds to hardship, and the person most entitled to hardship, fatigue, and their consequent reward is Allah’s vicegerent in His earth: ‘Or did you suppose you would enter Paradise while there had not yet come to you the like of those who passed before you? Affliction and adversity touched them, and they were shaken until the messenger and those who believed with him said, “When is Allah’s help?” Surely Allah’s help is near’ [al-Baqarah 2:214]. Notice: even the messenger says, ‘When is Allah’s help?’-that is, the matter of victory reaches the brink of despair, and even the messenger’s patience nearly runs out, so he asks for victory because he is close to being unable to continue patiently while displaced and fought: ‘Until, when the messengers despaired and thought they had been denied, Our help came to them; then whomever We willed was saved. Our might is not repelled from the criminal people’ [Yusuf 12:110]. In general, messages begin with calling. When the messenger proclaims his call, for a period he can appear before people and personally call them to the truth. When his call grows strong and its supporters increase, the religious men fear for their false positions, so they plot and issue rulings to those who worship them apart from Allah to kill the messenger. The misled followers do not reflect that these rulings arise from the weakness of the religious authorities of misguidance and their falsehood’s inability to withstand the truth. The messengers are then compelled to hide until Allah empowers them. It is therefore the established course that messengers are fought and hide for periods until Allah grants them victory when sufficient people and means become available for protection and repelling the evil of Iblis’s soldiers among the satanic religious men and their servants apart from Allah. As for your saying that someone saw a vision in which you left the Call of truth: give charity. Allah willing, Allah will repel it from you and make you steadfast upon His straight path.
