Question 818

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. O Allah, send prayers upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, the Imams and the Mahdis, and grant them abundant peace. Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you, O Household of Prophethood. Months ago I saw a vision in which I was standing with the Yamani of the family of Muhammad, Sayyid Ahmed Alhasan-my Lord’s prayers be upon him and them-in the house where I live. We stood in its courtyard with a date-palm farm before us. I invited him to sit upon a couch there, and he (peace be upon him) sat. I asked if I might put new bedding beneath him. He said there was no harm, so I placed it and he sat upon it. Then one of the supporters appeared beside me. The previous day I had discussed with him a matter concerning the Call, and there was some disagreement. I said to the Sayyid (peace be upon him), ‘I told my companion these words, but he did not agree.’ He-Allah’s peace be upon him-said, ‘These words are from Allah, so why are they not satisfied with them?’ Displeasure at what the Sayyid said appeared on my companion’s face. Meanwhile I found Shaykh Nazim al-Uqayli sitting between me and the Sayyid. The Shaykh gestured to me as if to ask why this brother was saying this before the Sayyid and interrupting him. Then the Shaykh and my companion disappeared, and I remained alone with him (peace be upon him). He said, ‘Come with me,’ so I went with him to the date-palm farm within the house. It contained an extremely large high-voltage electrical generator that generated power for the whole globe, but it was out of order. The Sayyid told me to stand at the generator’s main switch and press it when he instructed me to start it. He held a staff in his right hand and said, ‘I will repair it from here,’ at the generator’s center. I asked if I should bring his tools, and he said there was no harm. I went to fetch them and looked at where they hung on the wall. I found only a few, some unusable. I thought, ‘Where is so-and-so? Where is so-and-so?’ I took what was there, hid it behind me, and returned to the Sayyid near the generator, ashamed because of the tools. He (peace be upon him) said, ‘There is no blame upon you; you and I will start the generator.’ He put his staff into one of its parts at the center and moved it three times, then told me to press the start button. I pressed it with my finger. The generator began working in the best manner and illuminated the entire globe. We then walked, and soldiers were nearby as though the affair had been established for the Qaʾim (peace be upon him). One soldier approached and said a formation of aircraft was coming toward us. The Sayyid said to me, ‘Leave them; they will not be able to do anything any longer.’ Praise be to Allah, Lord of the worlds. O Allah, turn toward us, forgive us, and have mercy upon us. O Allah, raise us through humility toward You, preserve us through seeking refuge in Your cave, grant us victory through losing ourselves in Your way, teach us knowledge by which we gain Your satisfaction, and make us supporters of Muhammad and the family of Muhammad-my Lord’s prayers be upon them-and a stone in the hand of the Qaʾim of the family of Muhammad (may Allah send prayers upon him and his family). Peace be upon you on the day you were lights, the day you were born, the day you die, and the day you are raised.
