Question 113

How do deaf and mute people perform the blessed Friday prayer when they cannot understand or hear the sermon? Do they need someone to convey the sermon to them through understandable signs, or is attendance alone sufficient?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

Having someone translate the sermon for them through signs is better, but it is not obligatory.
