Question 111
It is stated that Friday prayer is recommended when neither the Imam nor a person appointed by him to lead the prayer is present. Does this mean that the Imam and his appointee exist elsewhere but do not attend this particular prayer, or does it mean something else? And what if Friday prayer is established without their attendance but under the Imam's direction and guidance?

What is meant is that neither of them is present, or even that the Imam is not present and has not appointed an imam to establish Friday prayer.
