Question 14

Regarding the night prayer, The Laws of Islam states that if Fajr begins before it has been completed, then if four rak'ahs have already been started, the person completes it in a lightened manner even if dawn rises. What does 'in a lightened manner' mean?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

It means that he suffices with reciting al-Fatiha, or al-Fatiha with a short surah, and does not prolong the qunut.
