Question 154
If an emergency forces the imam to leave the prayer without appointing anyone in the imam's place, are the followers' prayers invalid, or should they intend to pray individually and complete their prayers?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
It is better for them to put forward one of their number as imam to complete the prayer with them in congregation. Otherwise, each of them may complete the prayer individually.
