Question 93
The takbir for bowing is obligatory. May it be said quietly? May it be said while moving down into bowing, or while already in bowing before the dhikr? What if the person forgets it and remembers while in bowing? Does the same ruling apply to the takbir for prostration?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
It is valid to say it quietly, while moving down into bowing, or while in bowing before the dhikr. If the person forgets and remembers while in bowing, the person says the takbir and nothing is due. The same ruling applies to prostration.
