We live in foreign countries among non-Muslims and others, and we live in houses there, moving from one house to another from time to time. Should we regard these houses as pure, including the utensils found in them, their doors and similar things?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
Yes. You should regard the houses as pure except for places where wet contact commonly occurs, such as bathrooms. If no actual substance of impurity is present there, such places are regarded as having become impure. Note, however, that something which has merely become impure does not make another thing impure merely by touching it with moisture.
