Question 145
A man has a mother and siblings. May he transfer all of his property into his wife's name during his lifetime?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
It is permissible if he is not suffering from an illness in which he cannot feel secure from death-that is, a dangerous terminal-type illness. Otherwise, if his heirs are believers in the truth, he does not have the right to dispose of more than one-third of his property.
