Question 115
A prisoners' institution relies on me to verify whether a person was actually imprisoned and entitled to a salary or is falsely claiming imprisonment. May I cooperate with them and state the truth even if doing so causes some people to lose benefits and possibly face repayment or imprisonment?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
There is no problem with giving testimony and stating the truth; rather, there may be a problem with concealing it.
