Question 90
Farmland that was seized and cleared during Saddam's era was later distributed by the government as residential plots. The original owners no longer claim it, and houses have now been built there. Is it permissible to live in these houses, enter them and pray in them? Some of the former land has also become roads; may people pass over them?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
If the original owners have abandoned their claim to the land, as appears from the question, there is no problem with it. It is permissible to live there and to pass over it.
