Regarding sins, God, the Exalted, says: 'And those who, when they commit an indecency or wrong themselves, remember God and seek forgiveness for their sins—and who forgives sins except God?—and do not knowingly persist in what they have done' (Quran 3:135). He also says: 'Say: O My servants who have transgressed against themselves, do not despair of God's mercy. Indeed, God forgives all sins. Indeed, He is the Forgiving, the Merciful' (Quran 39:53). Turn to God and ask Him to forgive your sin and bestow His mercy upon you. Recite the supplication of Imam Zayn al-Abidin for Monday, and after the night prayer and after the dawn prayer recite: 'My God, I ask You to bear on my behalf every debt upon my neck owed to one of Your servants, and to raise me on the Day of Resurrection while none of Your servants has a debt or grievance against me that he demands from me, until I meet You while You are pleased with me. O Compassionate, O Merciful, O Generous, O Noble, forgive all my sins entirely through Your generosity and nobility. O God, O Most Gracious, O Most Merciful, forgive me the great sin, for none forgives the great sin except the Great. O Great One, I have no god other than You whom I may call upon, and You have no partner in whom I may hope. Bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad and deliver me, through Your hidden kindness, from what I am in and from what I fear and guard against.'
