Question 87
My fourteen-year-old daughter is ill and sometimes can barely walk. While she is asleep, if we try to wake her or she awakens to a sound, she begins to tremble intermittently. The trembling intensifies and causes pain in her limbs and back, then her whole body becomes rigid and she loses consciousness. When she awakens she cries; we later understood that she cries because she loses the ability to speak in addition to severe body pain, and she may be unable to stand on her legs, with abnormal walking the next day. She remains in this condition. I have not taken her to a doctor because I suspect she may be affected by jinn, since we observe strange things happening in the house where we live. What treatment should we use?

There are practices I mentioned in previous answers that can be used to help this girl psychologically. She should recite Ayat al-Kursi seven times every night, perform the dawn prayer at its proper time, and regularly say every day after the dawn prayer: ‘I bear witness that there is no god but God alone, without partner, one God, One, Unique, Singular, the Self-Sufficient, who has taken neither consort nor child ...’ ten times.
