Question 157

My mother is not a believer in the call and does not allow me to attend gatherings of the believers. May I attend their commemorative gatherings when she is traveling and does not know, given that my father also does not believe in the call but permits and even encourages me to attend?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

You are not required to obey her in this matter. So long as your father, may God protect him, supports what you are doing in obedience to God, place your trust in God. May God grant you success and guide your steps.
