Question 125
May an egg from a woman, fertilized by her husband's sperm, be implanted in another womb or an artificial womb, whether the other woman is one of the husband's relatives or not, because the wife's womb is incapable or absent?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
It is permissible to implant a woman's egg fertilized by her husband's sperm in her own womb. It is not permissible to implant the fertilized egg in another woman's womb, even if that other woman is the man's second wife.
