Question 131

How is a woman who is ‘known for zina’ identified? If a temporary marriage was agreed for one year but the man later doubts that the woman is faithful to the agreement, may he end the temporary marriage after consummation in order to avoid a problem?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

A woman known for zina is identified by being publicly known in her social environment for practicing sexual immorality. A man may terminate a temporary-marriage contract at any time he wishes.
