Question 129

Does a believing husband have the right to insult, curse or strike his wife and blame her for every mistake that occurs in the home?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

Insulting and abusive language are certainly impermissible; that is self-evident. The relationship between spouses is supposed to be one of affection and love, not aversion. Both parties are required to work toward that.
