Question 128
A believer's wife, who is also a believer, does not pray. He has done everything he can to get her to observe her prayers and has used all lawful means without success. May he strike her because of the prayer, or should he divorce her?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
He should advise her, admonish her, encourage her to pray, and continue doing so. He should neither strike her nor divorce her.
