Question 137
Does a woman in temporary marriage have a waiting period after the term ends, or if the man she married dies during the contract period?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
Her waiting period after the term ends is two menstrual cycles. In the event of his death, even if the marriage was not consummated, she observes a waiting period of four months and ten days if she is not pregnant. If she is pregnant, she observes whichever of the two periods ends later.
