Question 61
If a deceased person has two or more guardians who are exactly equal in age, how do they share the duty of making up what the deceased missed?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
They are equal in the obligation to make up what the deceased missed, so the duty does not fall on one rather than another. None is required to do more than the others; the make-up is divided equally among them. If one of them voluntarily performs everything owed by the deceased, the obligation falls from the others.
