Obligatory acts of worship must be performed at their prescribed times to the extent possible. A person who cannot stand at Arafat on the Day of Arafah, even at night, is sufficiently covered if he stands at al-Mash'ar after dawn. If he cannot stand at either Arafat or al-Mash'ar because oppressors prevent him, then he is considered one who has been prevented and follows the rulings of the prevented pilgrim.
