Question 13

Sometimes I perform my prayer but feel as though it is merely a series of movements without humility. Reciting the surahs has begun to feel like simply pronouncing words without feeling or reflecting on them. Thoughts and tasks pull me away from humility, and I even often doubt the number of rak'ahs. Is there a way you can guide me to overcome this?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

Increase your remembrance of God in all your circumstances, not only during prayer.
