Question 70
Do grandchildren inherit from their grandfather when he dies if their father died before the grandfather? Also, does the wife of a deceased son who had no children by him inherit anything from the grandfather when the grandfather dies?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
Grandchildren whose father died during his father's lifetime do not inherit from the grandfather if the grandfather has living sons or daughters. The deceased son's wife does not inherit from his father.
