Question 73

When U.S. forces were present in Iraq, before I believed in the blessed call, I did various kinds of work with them—for example supplying furniture or electrical equipment and maintaining generators at their base. I made some money from this work and still have it. What is the ruling on the work and on this money?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

I previously explained the ruling on working with and assisting them while they were occupying Iraq: it was not permissible. As for the money you earned, there is no problem with it, and you may spend it however and wherever you wish in what God has made lawful for you.
