Question 173

A person bought an amount of gold for sixteen million and sold it to another person for nineteen million in installments, claiming that this is the same profit he would take in a cash sale. Is this permissible?

Ahmed al-Hasan Response:

There is no problem with the amount of profit so long as it does not exceed the prevailing market price range of the commodity.
