Question 16
Children who have reached the age of religious obligation find it difficult to give the adhan and iqama for every prayer. It has become burdensome for them, and they repeat the adhan and iqama again and again. This occurs every day to the point that the children cry or become averse. What is the solution? Are the adhan and iqama required of them?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
Teach them the adhan and iqama correctly; you have time for this. You can also perform the prayer together as a family congregation, and they may also suffice with the adhan of someone who gives the adhan at the same time and place of the prayer.
