Question 38
God has blessed me with providing spiritual treatment. I am usually busy on Fridays because people from other provinces come specifically on that day, and I convey this blessed call to those who come for treatment. This prevents me from attending Friday prayer. Is that permissible?
Ahmed al-Hasan Response:
If the conditions that make Friday prayer obligatory apply to you, including the distance condition, then you must attend the prayer. A person who has work can free himself for an hour or less for Friday prayer. Friday preachers should keep their sermons brief and take the circumstances of the believers into consideration. May God protect them, and may God reward you with the best reward of those who do good.
